Will Gluck developing Skyjack: The Hunt for D.B. Cooper
D.B. Cooper hijacked a plane and parachuted over the Pacific Northwest with over $200,000 in cash on November 24, 1971. He was never brought to justice, but was labeled a folk hero. The novel, written by Geoffrey Gray, follows the legend from the perspectives of three different people who claim to be the real D.B. Cooper.
Keith Bunin is writing the script for the project. He is also working on a script for a live-action film centering the life of Theodore Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss), which is being set up as a starring vehicle for Johnny Depp.
The director most recently made the romantic comedy Friends with Benefits, which starred Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.
No production details have been released for the film.

A friend of mine and I talked about doing a spec script on this some time ago, but passed because of the tremendous unresolved ending of the hijacking.
