Will Ferrell is braving an actual land of the lost, so to speak, for a guest-starring role. According to Variety, Ferrell will guest star in an episode of the popular Discovery Channel series Man Vs. Wild.

Ferrell will be appearing in the series for a tie-in for his upcoming film, Land of the Lost, which will hit theaters on June 5. It was said that Ferrell's episode would air in early June, before the film's release.

Ferrell will join series host Bear Grylls in the woods of northern Sweden where he and Grylls both rappell down frozen waterfalls, perform tandem-abseiling from a helicopter and must brave the frozen elements by constructing makeshift snowshoes and must find their own food and even drink their own urine.

"Will did an amazing job in sub-zero very unforgiving conditions," Grylls said. "He trusted me when it mattered and we survived... He should be very proud of how he performed."

Land of the Lost was released June 5th, 2009 and stars Will Ferrell, Anna Friel, Danny McBride, Jorma Taccone, John Boylan, Matt Lauer, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Sierra McCormick. The film is directed by Brad Silberling.
