Adam McKay is having trouble getting the cast back together
"I thought we were doing it. I was told it was happening and now I've heard it's going to be too hard to get everyone together.
"Hopefully the director Adam McKay will be able to talk to all the guys individually and see if we can figure it out."

Ferrell added that it would be hard to top the original film, but he said he would be interested in making the sequel.
"We don't think we can make it as good. It would be really fun to do, so we might just try to make the craziest sequel you've ever seen. It could be terrible, but if they're going to pay us to do it, then why not, right?"
We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further details on an Anchorman sequel as soon as we have more information.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was released July 9th, 2004 and stars Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Fred Willard, Chris Parnell, Kathryn Hahn. The film is directed by Adam McKay.

Will Ferrell - the star of the first movie, 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' - has revealed plans for a sequel to the comedy movie have been halted because the director can't get the original cast back together.
Will told Zoo magazine: "I thought we were doing it. I was told it was happening and now I've heard it's going to be too hard to get everyone together.
"Hopefully the director Adam McKay will be able to talk to mcitp all the guys individually and see if we can figure it out."
The first movie saw comedic performances from Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner, which were all met with critical acclaim.
Although Will is keen to shoot a sequel he is worried any follow-up won't be able to match the 2004 original - which told the story of Will's character Ron Burgundy, a 1970s news presenter whose position of power is challenged by ambitious reporter Veronica Corningstone, played by Christina Applegate.

Pbcritical, it was a bit overrated true, but if they made a sequel and just went crazy with it, it could be pretty hillarious. The first one didn't get off the ground, but had some potential.
They spoofed Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer a little bit in Elf. I'd like to see them do that more in an Elf 2, instead of making Ron Burgandy 2.

I don't think they should make a sequel since the original was a little overrated in my opinion

He is saying it could be terrible he didnt say it would. Also, he acknowledge the fact that they probably wont be able to top the first one so it could be funny but not as great as the first or suck balls, but they are gonna try. Anyways this film probably wont happen

This is the only Will Ferrell movie I didn't like, so there really shouldn't be a sequel, plus dosen't all his movies have a conclusion to the story at the ending

It may be honest, but why would anyone waste their money on acknowledged sh*t?

Err
"but if they're going to pay us to do it, then why not, right?"
