Will Arnett is set to star in the comedy, Semi-Pro for New Line Cinema.

The film is about the last days of the American Basketball Association; New Line vice president Kent Alterman will make his directorial debut. Arnett joins Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson and Andre Benjamin in a project written by Scot Armstrong. According to Variety, Ferrell plays Jackie Moon, the owner-player-coach of the fictional Flint, Michigan, Tropics; Arnett plays team announcer Lou Redwood.

Arnett and Ferrell also co-star in the comedy Blades of Glory which will be released later this year. Semi-Pro hits theaters in 2008.

Semi-Pro was released February 29th, 2008 and stars Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, André Benjamin, Maura Tierney, Andrew Daly, Will Arnett, Andy Richter, David Koechner. The film is directed by Kent Alterman.
