Who Will Be the New Spider-Man?

It appears that Sony is indeed moving forward with a new Spider-Man film, but it appears that Tobey Maguire is no part of it. According to Latino Review, two names have been kicked around by producers Laura Ziskin and Grant Curtis to replace Maguire: Patrick Fugit and Michael Angarno.

No offers have been made to either actor as of yet, but those two appear to be at the top of the short list to portray Spidey. Oddly enough, the two actors have worked together in the same movie... as the same character. Fugit portrayed the teenage version of William Miller in Almost Famous while Angarno played the the younger version.

It isn't clear if the Spidey overhaul is extending to the rest of the cast, but we'll be sure to keep you posted on more developments in this new movie.

    Just ignore Pypebum. He's clearly on here for random, pointless sh*t talking. He doesn't even like movies, have you seen him say one good thing about any movie lol? I rest my case. Maybe we can sign some type of 'people are completely ignorant and abusive to this website's forums' petition and give it to the site administrators or something.     lol Mr and Mrs. Smith was good, Jumper wasn't like 'omg' but it did hold my attention, some of the action parts were so crazy/good. The fight scenes between the two jumpers was f*cking awesome. Teleporting/throwing cars at Hayden was the most original thing I have seen in a long time. Fight scene wise. Who does that? Nightcrawler never did that in the X-Men cartoons lol.

    This is gonna be interesting who will be the new spiderman... cause Patrick and Michael doesnt look like they`ll fit for the roll. Patrick looks like a little kid and Michael... well the same for him.

    If they chose one of these two, then it doesnt matter what kind of cool special effects they will use, it will still suck, cause the lead actor doesnt look like he would fitt the part.
    And if they chose a person that`s right for the part, then they better not f**k up the new spiderman movies with some lame kid emo stuff.

    i would like to have a cross between spider-man and daredevil. the thing is that it will be hard to pull it off considering that both of them are really different heroes and use different shade or color of film. spider-man is a more lighter tone and daredevil is a more darker tone.

    Naw not KingPin, I think they plan to get on with Doctor Conner's uprising and get him out of the way, so there is The Lizard, and he still has that little bit of symbiote left that Peter Parker gave to him, so he could easily lose it, and the Symbiote would join with Cledus Cassidy and thus form Carnage. Also, I think they plan on bringing Black Cat into this one to become Peter's new love interest. A villain, however that I would like to see in a Spiederman movie is Morbius, but that's just because he's a vampire LOL!!!!!

    jumper was terible, but when it comes to spider i gave up when i saw 3, i was lookin forward to venom as soon as i knew he was in it, where was the tongue? why did he die so easy...an sandman an spiderman might as well as kissed eached other

    Mr. and Mrs. smith was pretty interesting, but it was an action/adventure couples movie. i thought it was good, but i havent seen jumper. from the looks of the movie, it wasnt spectacular nor bad. it looks like an average movie to me.

    I have a suggestion for director that i think no one would think of, but once they hear him, might think he's a good idea: Doug Liman. He directed mr. and mrs. smith AND jumper, both of which are action oriented. I haven't seen jumper but heard it's pretty good, and from the trailers, it looks like spidey-like effects and stunts. I HAVE seen mr. and mrs. smith and thought it was good, and if he can get brad and angelina together, maybe he can sp*ce up peter and mj's relationship. :) What do ya think?
