Wendy Crewson has signed on to the action/adventure fantasy, The Dark is Rising for 20th Century Fox.

Variety adds Ian McShane is also part of the cast; the film is about a boy, whose life is turned upside down when he learns that he is the last of a group of immortal warriors who have dedicated their lives to fighting the forces of the dark.

The Dark is Rising is currently shooting in Romania for director David L. Cunningham.

The Seeker: The Dark is Rising was released October 5th, 2007 and stars Alexander Ludwig, Christopher Eccleston, Ian McShane, Frances Conroy, James Cosmo, Jim Piddock, Amelia Warner, John Benjamin Hickey. The film is directed by David L. Cunningham.
