Watch the Official Trailer for The Dark Knight Now!

Forget about those crappy The Dark Knight trailer bootlegs that have been flooding the Internet this weekend. Warner Brothers has finally premiered the official Batman sequel trailer in all its beautiful splendor on-line.

To stop this devious new menace--Batman's most personal and vicious enemy yet--he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes.

The Dark Knight opens July 18th, 2007.

The Dark Knight was released July 18th, 2008 and stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Monique Gabriela Curnen. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

because i think truvision was his name said that the batcave looks retarded in the pictures.and i was explaining that it was not the batcave in the pictures. its in a penthouse. Wayne Manor hasnt been rebuilt yet. What kind of direct continuation from Batman Begins would it be if we came back and the house was already rebuilt and the new cave was up and runnning. like what everyone else is saying. gotta read all the comments cupidore lol

The joker is freakin' aweasome in this one. Much better than in the original Batman. Much more sadistic, which is how the joker is supposed to be, so kudos Heath Ledger. Can't wait to see this next installment the new Batman series.

It's not the batcave yet because this sequel starts right where Begins left off. At the end of Begins Wayne's house was burnt to the ground and Alfred suggests,"Now would be a good time to add to the southeast wing." It's probably just a temporary lil' nook for Batman to keep his sh*t, park his car and use his kick-ass computer systems.

    I'm sure they'll explain it.

Prior to the release of Batman & Robin, Mark Protosevich was commissioned by Warner Brothers to write a script for a fifth Batman film titled Batman Triumphant to be directed by Joel Schumacher. Harley Quinn was allegedly included as one of the film's three villains, opposite Scarecrow and Man-Bat. In July 2000, Protosevich confirmed Scarecrow and Quinn as the only two villains.
Due to Batman & Robin's poor box office run, bad Internet buzz, and several negative reviews from critics, Triumphant was never made, and the film franchise went on hiatus for eight years.

Harley Quinn is a frequent accomplice of Batman's nemesis the Joker, and is also a close ally of supervillainess Poison Ivy. Harley's relationship with the Joker is one of the most complex in the DC Universe!

I know im gonna get chewed out for this...but what is the big deal about Harley Quinn? I dont think she is that interesting a character and the batman universe has much better characters that nolan can draw from and develop into 'realistic' forms. Before Harley Quinn there is Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman...much better characters to add to the 'realworld' Gotham.

  22. Rama's SCREEN

This film's take on the joker is awesome!
    Heath Ledger IS the joker

No offense to the great Jack Nicholson, but I think THE DARK KNIGHT has gotten themselves the real, more evil, menacing Joker.

  24. CelluloidDreams

Oh and I wish director Christopher Nolan would add Harley Quinn!!
Also have you seen the new poster with the Joker?? Very nice!! It has the joker putting the words "Why So Serious?" in red over an image of him! Very spooky!!

  25. CelluloidDreams

Michael Keaton added a dark intensity to the role as "Batman"! Next to Christian Bale, Michael starts to pale in comparison! Christian adds a different depth to wich I can't put my finger on!
But Heath as the Joker is just taking the character to a much darker place we can only dream about. Jack was good, but again it was just another crazy Jack performance along the lines of the "The Shining", almost cartoonish, but Heath brings a dark depth!
He just looks f*cked in the mind! I think Heath is doing his own own interruption of the Joker & running with it!
The next couple months to the release will be tough!!

love his reaction when he fires the bazooka, didn't expect it to have such a kick. Knives are more the jokers style, attention to detail though, most directors would of probably just have him fire it without any reaction....not Nolan though...awesome.
