In the sequel, the angels should fight ninjas and/or pirates... Now THAT is a movie I'd see.

Geo: I apologize for not responding to your question earlier, been a busy day. Comrade said it best, its mythology, not religion. A perfect example would be Supernatural. It is based on mythology. The same as this movie.

Even though your question really is off base from the movie, here is my answer. Nothing can be for sure after death. It comes down to beliefs. Whether you believe or not, that is what it comes down to. Do we know if what we believe is for real? No. But that is why we have faith and believe in what we do. I BELIEVE that is what makes us who we are. It helps define our character as individuals. What if there isnt anything? I honestly dont know. I dont dwell on that. IF by chance there is nothing, I will cross that bridge when the time comes. Hope that answers your question.

What's the consequences of not believing? Well, there shouldn't be any consequences: if God exists, he should judge you on your character and the good you do, not on whether you "believe" or not. I lead a perfectly happy life, and I don't need to worry about the consequences of not believing in something I don't HAVE to believe in. God is not the universal cop if he doesn't knock on my door and show me his badge.

As for the movie, it will SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

And no, I'm not calling all religious people morons. Just the moronic ones.

GEO, are you asking what the consequences are for not believing a bunch of cultural stories written over 2000 years ago down by the same people who believed the world to be flat and that you had to kill things to please invisible men and women otherwise bad things would happen?

Probably about the same as the consequences for not agreeing with Glenn Beck: you get yelled at by a bunch of uneducated morons who don't understand the contradictory nature of their own text as literally as they've interpreted it.

    Why even use the bullets?

This is a movie based on mythology, not religion. Christian Mythology, not Christian Religion. THe two are starkly different. I'm a non-Christian, but I'm not an idiot. I understand how to make basic distinctions rather than rash, offensive, and shortsighted generalizations.

This movie will probably suck in every aspect except action.

...but of course there is no knowing for sure until we get there.

  11. Err

oh sorry, caught on a tangent there.
so my official response is there will not be any consequence to not believing, even if there is a deity of sort out there to deal with after death.

  12. Err

    oh that question.
no its cool i can appreciate a little 'what if' and i apologize if i sounded like a douche in my initial response.
that what if alludes to pascals clause which is fine for some but not so much for others.
    im among the others.
i've done enough thinking on the subject and done enough research on the history of the whole christianity thing (please excuse my exclusion of other religions in this statement) to be confident in my belief that any connecting force between all things in the universe that may exist will not be an overly sensitive emotional being that cares what my opinion on the subject is, thus making it okay for me to say things like "there is no god" or "god likes pee-pees in his butthole" because no one will be offended... well except for other people.

there is oblivion, and there is us.

Err; The question was what if you're wrong...what are the consequences of not believing? Defense reflexes usually kick in about this time but I assure it is merely a thought provoking question.
