@bawnian-dexeus Agreed. The sound was terrible the entire night, red carpet included.

@thedude-abides -- I know. ;/
But, hey, at least it wasn't for nothing. I made over $80 bucks yesterday, so I have no regrets.
@skywise -- It's the 2011 Oscars chat, ironically enough.

@thedude-abides One of my biggest complaints was the sound, Adele not really performing the way she should have, and other stuff

@thedude-abides True, at least she won

Either way, it's a shame. You know it's bad when I'm one of the users who commented the most. And the only reason I did that was because I was trying to do my part in breaking the record, lol.

@skywise Always, man. It's the apex of the year in film, and it comes and goes in 3.5 hours. It's always a fun night, in my opinion, regardless of who wins and "loses."

@thedude-abides I may be a glutton but I felt a little sad when it was all said and done.

Wow. What a moment between DDL and Meryl -- arguably the two greatest ever.

@skywise 100% agree. It's the biggest event in film every year; anything less would be underwhelming.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx So..what is the most commented article around here?
Im guessing it has something to do with Superman or Batman?

@thedude-abides I hear the same complaints every year. I dont get that. Its like going to a Batman movie and then getting upset because Batman is in it.
You know what you are in for when you sit down with the Oscars...

@skywise Lol. Definitely.

Not sure what all the complaints are about as it pertains to the length of the show. It only lasted 3 and a half hours, which it typically does.

@thedude-abides haha! I would definatly do some rescuing.
I know a lot of people are making fun of her today but I think it just makes her seem more human.

@skywise Haha. Makes her look like a damsel in distress in need of rescuing :P

@bawnian-dexeus It sux for her but is it weird that I find that mildly attractive?

I was 4/6 in my predictions. Waltz was a major surprise, and Ang Lee has made better movies... Thought Spielberg would've ran away with best director.

@bawnian-dexeus Lol. Yeah, that sucked for Lawrence. Oh well, at least she won, so that makes it okay.

@corey i agree, it was a great film, although historically inaccurate in some things.

I feel bad that Lawrence had to endure having her dress malfunction at one award ceremony and then tripping thus hitting herself on the steps in another award :/

Also, why the f*ck is there an ad for some A&E movie with Vera Farmiga? Is her career that bad already that she has to be making tv movies? She got nominated for an Oscar.. I didn't think her career was that bad yet

I got all my guesses right for the major categories... On a side note, everyone should see the movie that won for best short animated film Paperman. It was a cute little film
