Get your first look at director Richard Kelly's (Donnie Darko) trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller, Southland Tales, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Seann William Scott, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Cheri Oteri and Amy Poehler.


Southland Tales is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Boxer Santaros is an action star who's stricken with amnesia. His life intertwines with Krysta Now, an adult film star developing her own reality television project, and David Clark, a Hermosa Beach police officer who holds the key to a vast conspiracy.

Southland Tales was released November 14th, 2007 and stars Carlos Amezcua, Curtis Armstrong, Robert Benz, Todd Berger, Dave Carlin, Joe Campana, Chris Andrew Ciulla, Rebekah Del Rio. The film is directed by Richard Kelly.

    YES!! I loved Donnie Darko and cannot wait for this one. It seems a bit strange and has some actors i cannot stand, but so did Donnie Darko and that turned out great.

    I really hope this is as oddly intriguing as it looks. After so much negative press on this long-delayed project, it would be nice if Richard Kelly could follow up Donnie Darko with something wildly original and promising.

    WOW THIS MOVIE HAS A LOT OF GREAT ACTORS. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL BE VERY INTERSTING INDEED. SMG LOOKS VERY SEXY IN THIS MOVIE. ILL PROBABLY GO SE IT WHEN IT COMES OUT IN THEATRES, JUST TO SEE SEAN WILLIAM SCOTT

    It's about time..

    Not sure what to think, as it is too early in Richard Kelly's career to establish similarities to anything but Donnie Darko, which stands as a very different film anyway. I suppose we'll see why Cannes booed it so badly.
