@bane5000 I believe Marvel Knights is a division of Marvel that also includes the animation dept. So far the live action films that have been released with the Marvel Knights logo were produced by other studios but Marvel could still use it in-house. The next DD movie should be Marvel Knights whether Marvel gets his rights back or not.
It might be nice to see them use Marvel Knights on any film that does not tie in to the Marvel film universe that has been created around the Avengers and SHIELD.
The Amazing Spider-man should be a Marvel Knights film but I bet they will use the Marvel Studios logo. Since Columbia owns the rights to Spider-man and Ghost Rider they should consider using GR as the villain-at-the-start-turned-ally-to-defeat-real-villain in one of the Spidey movies. Marvel Team-Up FTW!

@shuabert...Yeah thats true, and FOX, being the sneaky bastards that they are would just say its " in development' just to keep a hold of the rights a bit longer till they figure how to make it properly, if they even can. I was talking to my younger bro the other day telling " Watch, once Marvel Studios gets the rights back to DD and the FF, and make theyre vision of the characters on film, FOX will see it and say Ohhh, so thats how it was supposed to be made " :]

@bane5000 The Director's Cut of Daredevil was an R rated movie, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility. But Fox is already working on a reboot, no? So it' s unlikely that the rights will revert to Marvel. Remember, they don't even have to make the movie, they just have to have it "in development" according to in perpetuity clauses.

@DuaneBarry...Does Marvel Studios actually own the Marvel Knights film line, or is that just a series label that other studios use to make darker Marvel related films?
If Marvel Studios does do happen to own Marvel Knights, then im all for them releasing Blade under that, as well as Daredevil, no more kiddy-type DD, i want a full on action, violent film of The Man Without Fear

@shuabert...Those are also good choices for Blade i wouldnt mind, but Maichael Jai White is still my number 1 choice, imagine how insane the fight scenes could be.
As for Tyrese, hes been rumored to play luke cage for years now, and im sure hes gonna want to do something if another Tranformers or Fast and Furious movie doesnt get made soon { hidden dig at him lol } but there are two other actors i can think of to play the role, first once again is Michael Jai White, the other is Terry Crews

wtf? It's the most unlikely thing to happen in a convenience store/gas station in the middle of nowhere.

@bane5000 Marvel has done just that. The Marvel Knights division focuses on producing the darker titles such as Punisher: War Zone and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. I imagine any future Blade movies will come from Marvel Knights. If they can get the rights to DareDevil back he will hopefully fall under this tent as well.

@bane5000 What about Michael K Williams (Chalkie from Boardwalk Empire & Omar from The Wire)? He would be a pretty awesome Blade.
Last time I checked, Tyrese still thinks he's playing Luke Cage, so if they ever get that project off the ground he's probably the most likely.

That was epic. He needs more screen time in the movies.

@shuabert If they did an ant man short, before the avengers or not, it would make my day. that would be great.
This video was hysterical. I haven't paid much attention to the others, but this makes me want to go watch them all!

@shuabert...Thats true, maybe theyll make a sort of seperate MCU thats more dark and seedy, dealing with more violence and the supernatural ala Man-Thing, Midnight Sons and others of the sort. would be kool if SHIELD acknowldges this other side of the MCU but doesnt really get to involved in it.
Its a shame Idris Elba is already Hiemdell, i think he wouldve made an awesome Blade, my second vote goes to Michael Jai White, a real life martial artist and has the toughness to be Blade. If not, he would be great for Luke Cage as well IMO.

@bane5000 I doubt we'll see Punisher and Blade pop up the main MCU, because those characters are and have always been hard R rated material. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney reboots them, I just think they'll probably do it as a separate film universe than the more family-friendly one that has Iron Man and Cap, etc. But who knows. It would be possible that they'd have some characters cross over for minor cameos, just don't expect Blade to show up as one of the Avengers, lol.

@shuabert...An Ant-Man short before the Avengers would be welcomed treat and susprise by anyone who goes the see the film, imagine if that did happen, or an after credits scene of Ant-man and Wasp, maybe showing them somehow being in the employment of SHIELD and working on a project for them, revealing what is to be Ultron, im sure Marvel Studios has a trick up their sleeves for the after credits, cant wait man :D

@jptheredskull...yeah, ive heard that was the plan Marvel has in mind, maybe they can also do the same to re-introduce Punisher and Blade into the MCU since they got the rights back for those characters. if they can do these shorts as @ghostman has mentioned how Pixar does it with their short films, that would be fun to watch before the actual Marvel film begins

It would be really cool if we got an AntMan short before Avengers. EVERYONE is going to see Avengers, but not as many non-comic readers know Ant Man. He's certainly not as recognizable as Captain America or Hulk, so introducing him via his own little short film (including some of the already established characters in the universe, like Fury or Stark) would be a great way to get people interested in coming back to see him in his own movie.

@bane5000 They are actually planning to do more of these. They want to use some of these to introduce some of there other characters such as Black Panther.

Im telling you, they should start showing these kind of shorts in theaters before major Marvel films, that would be a treat, get a short film and a full on film for the price of one :]

@bawnian-dexeus Haha, I thought the same thing.
I thought Gregg was spot on in this bit. He's sort of under-used in these movies, so I hope his role gets expanded as they flesh out the universe. My only complaint was the directing. The slow mo martial arts thing just looked bad. You don't need to slow down action in order for the audience to follow it, you just need to shoot it in a coherent manner.
