J.J. Abrams Super 8 Trailer

Super 8 was released June 10th, 2011 and stars Joel Courtney, Jessica Tuck, Joel McKinnon Miller, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Riley Griffiths, Gabriel Basso, Kyle Chandler. The film is directed by J.J. Abrams.

It's about Area 51 and aliens or some such creatures, which is always cool in my books. I was especially thrilled to see that Abrams is actually directing, not just producing this. One thing that I find interesting is that this film will be filmed in Super 8, amateur film style (sort of similar to Cloverfield), yet it will be following a few months after Oren Peli's found-footage followup to Paranormal Activity, titled Area 51. We're going to see two very conceptually similar films follow quickly after one another, though from the trailer it looks like Abrams' film will be set outside Area 51 whereas Peli's will be set inside the complex.

Looks awesome, without showing too much, which will keep things exciting. :) Not as "OMGWTFBBQ" as Cloverfield teaser was back then, but still cool.
I'm assuming that if the "it" fits in a train wagon, it's not that big, so this is probably not a monster movie. Could be wrong though.

It looked really kool, but realy didnt show much. Cloverfield was ok, but was over hyped, and I did not like the handy cam apprach to Cloverfield. So I hope it this is a simulair type of story, it is atleast not that handy cam shooting. But myself, as much as Cloverfield was ok, and I didnt like the handy cam apprach, there realy was not a ending to it. No real what happend to the monster, and if the two died in the cave in, ect.

i think it may just be an independent teaser away from the actual film...i think it's still the story about kids who are messing around with a super 8 camera and when they develop the film later, they notice something in the background...
