Starring Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Christopher Kirby, Michael Dorman and Vince Colosimo, the movie centers on Ed, a researcher in the year 2017, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.
Daybreakers was released January 8th, 2010 and stars Harriet Minto-Day, Jay Laga'aia, Damien Garvey, Sahaj Dumpleton, Allan Todd, Gabriella Di Labio, Ben Siemer, Peter Welman. The film is directed by Michael Spierig, Peter Spierig.

Ummm...Narzion, how else do you get Vampires? Shut the f*ck up. This already is an original story, because it puts vampires in dominance, and comes from a unique perspective. Go watch Twilight and jerk off if you don't like it.
It's not even supposed to be horror either, it's and action-drama.
