American Gangster concerns Harlem drug kingpin Frank Lucas (Washington), who smuggled heroin in the body bags of U.S. soldiers slain in Vietnam. Brolin plays Det. Trupo, a crooked NYPD cop who piggybacks on the Lucas investigation conducted by Det. Ritchie Roberts (Crowe).

this movie looks awesome, oscar material for sure.
i can't wait to see it, i've been looking forward to it for about 8 months but there is still more than 2 months before it comes out here (in Australia).

I'm sorry Movieweb I refuse to watch these clips...I will wait to see this film opening night in theaters!! I love gangster films I.E. "Goodfellas" & "The Godfather", & "American Gangster" LQQks like it will rock!! & with powerhouse stars such as Crowe & Washington this will be 1 film that should and will be be lQQked at come Oscar time.
It will also be interesting to see Chiwetel Ejiofor in this film, he is a very interesting actor with such roles as: "Kinky Boots" & "Slow Burn" to his credits!
It will also be very interesting to see what Ridley Scott will do with a Gangster picture.

This will be the best movie of the year by far. If this isnt at least nominated for some oscars something is seriously wrong.
