Warner Bros. to Have Blu-ray Titles Available for Samsung's June 25th BD-P1000 Release

It seems like having Blu-ray players and the software to test them out are starting to find some sort of coordination. Sort of.

In a story from Video Business, Steve Nickerson, Warner Home Video senior VP, stated that the company should some of it's Blu-ray titles available when Samsung's BD-P1000 hit's stores on June 25.

While Nickerson would not say which titles were going to be offered, he conceded that "there will be some overlap with the titles it releases on HD DVD."

Also, The Digital Bits says that Warner Bros. isn't going "to favor one format over the other."

They also state that Universal is "very close" to making an announcement about their HD-DVD titles. A couple of these would be Serenity and Apollo 13.

Serenity was released September 30th, 2005 and stars Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Maher, Summer Glau. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

Apollo 13 was released June 30th, 1995 and stars Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, Gary Sinise, Ed Harris, Kathleen Quinlan, Mary Kate Schellhardt, Emily Ann Lloyd. The film is directed by Ron Howard.
