It's a great anime like Akira. I hope they'll start soon, Dreamworks is making Ghost in a Shell and set to release on 2011.

ninja scroll is a movie i accidentally saw like 50 times. it just seemed like everytime i went to a friends house or to a club for a while after that movie came out it was just always playing.
im sure they could do well for this, but probably not for a while. i know pitt bought the rights to world war z a while ago and we havent heard a single word about that sh*t since it happened.
thisll probably be the last we hear of this project for a while. didnt dicaprio also buy the rights to akira? when was the last time you heard anything about that project moving forward?

A great anime, one of my personal favorites, but for a western company to take it would be to ultimately bastardize it. Hell, no film studio would fund an expensive live action movie with the seemingly ridiculous stuff that happens in the movie, be it western or eastern in origin. Maybe a new animated remake, perhaps even a reimagining, but to take the anime and make it into a standard movie is impossible.

I agree with zynthos lol , i really doubt that monster sex scene will be included . I havent seen that many anime films but this was really one of the best , could become a pretty kick ass live action flick
