Warner Bros. Has Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance

According to Variety, Warner Bros. has picked up the remake rights to Chan-Wook Park's Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance with Brian Tucker (Broken City) set to write the screenplay.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradianare going to be producing via di Bonaventura Pictures.

In the film, two women that two different men love most are killed. The men then set out on a mission of revenge.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is one part of Park's famed Vengeance trilogy. Another film in the series, Oldboy is currently being remade by Mandate and Vertigo.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance was released August 19th, 2005 and stars Kang-ho Song, Ha-kyun Shin, Du-na Bae, Ji-Eun Lim, Bo-bae Han, Se-dong Kim, Dae-yeon Lee, Ju-bong Gi. The film is directed by Chan-wook Park.

    oh i get it, because the oldboy remake fell through, they went to a different movie from the same trilogy.

    wait a tick--- it says "Oldboy is currently being remade by Mandate and Vertigo" but i read an article a couple months ago that the remake fell through, is this an error or is the remake back on?
