Warner Bros., BCI and Universal Announce Upcoming Genre Titles

Warner Bros., BCI and Universal have some very interesting DVD plans.

According to The Digital Bits, Warner Bros will be releasing Hollywood's Legends of Horror Collection October 10 and not October 3 as originally reported.

Also, BCI will be bringing out He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Season Two, Volume Two on September 19. This set "will include the final 32 episodes of the series (episodes 99-130). Extras on the set will include 'The Stories of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Season Two, Part Two' and 'Animating He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' documentaries, a full-length animated storyboard comparison for the episode 'The Problem with Power,' 2 original art cards, a trio of audio commentary tracks, character profiles, trivia, Easter eggs, TV spots and 5 episode scripts (via DVD-ROM)." This set will sell for $49.98.

BCI will also be putting out Groovie Goolies on October 24. This release "will include the complete series (all episodes), along with 'The Definitive Groovie Goolies Documentary.'"

Lastly, among Univeral's HD plans, there is talk that the company plans to release The Thing, 12 Monkeys, Hulk, Waterworld, The Mummy, Dune, An American Werewolf in London, The Scorpion King, Slither and Jet Li's Fearless.

This titles are listed as "coming soon."

The Thing was released June 25th, 1982 and stars Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, T.K. Carter, David Clennon, Keith David, Richard Dysart, Charles Hallahan, Peter Maloney. The film is directed by John Carpenter.
