Disney has hired Walt Becker to direct the action/adventure comedy, Link.

The film is based on a Becker novel published in 1998; the director and the producers will find a writer to adapt the novel, which concerns a paleontologist and maverick scientist who go in search of the missing link, reports Variety.

Becker is shooting another film with John Travolta first, and then his hopes are to tackle Link.
