Wal-Mart to Release Brokeback Mountain In it's Stores
According to Home Media Retailing, even though the American Family Association is complaining, the retailer is standing firm and is going to make the film available in it's stores.
"It's quite obvious to anyone who shops at Wal-Mart that they're no longer the family-friendly company that they used to project in their image," said Randy Sharp, AFA spokesperson, to the Christian-based Web site AgapePress. "We've seen a downward spiral trend by [Wal-Mart] in which they are more and more becoming like the world rather than the family-friendly company we grew up with."
Wal-Mart feels that their customers want to buy all kinds of titles including Brokeback Mountain.
