Voice Cast Announced for Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

Another slew of American actors are lending their voices to Hayao Miyazaki's latest film. According to Ghibli World, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, Betty White, Fankie Jonas, Noah Cyrys and Cloris Leachman have all signed on for the English-language dubbing of Ponyo on the Cliff By the Sea, the latest film from Japanese anime director Hayao Miyazaki.

The animated film revolves around a young boy who befriends a goldfish princess who yearns to be human.

Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy will produce the English-language film and it is said the film should be expected in theaters in 2009.

    Hayao Miyazaki is awesome. Howle's moving castle, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Castle in the clouds. All friggin sick movies.

    Miyazaki has yet to disapoint me. While I usually prefer anime with more action, I must say you can't go wrong with one of his masterworks.

    Hayao Miyazaki... One of my all time favorites. Lots of anime directors are following in his footsteps.

    Anyone seen The Girl Who Leapt Through Time? English dub just came out. VERY well done (not a Miyazaki, but still good).
