Ving Rhames to Star in Master Harold... and the Boys

Ving Rhames is set to step into Danny Glover's Broadway shoes for his next project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rhames will star in Master Harold... and the Boys, an adaptation of Athol Fugard's 1982 Broadway play.

Rhames will take the lead as Sam, a sophisticated noble waiter who becomes a father figure to a young boy, Sam, played by Freddie Highmore. South African actor Patrick Mofokeng has joined the cast as Willie, a younger waiter who aspired to be a ballroom dancer.

Shooting will take place on location in South Africa, with Emmy-winning director Lonny Price making his feature film debut from a script by Nicky Rebelo.

    I might check this out. Rhames is a very underrated actor much deserving of an Oscar, much like Rourke.
