Vin Diesel Blamed for Slowing Down Production on 'Fast & Furious 7'

Reports from the 'Fast & Furious 7' set claim that Vin Diesel has been difficult to work with, to the point of some crew members fantasizing about replacing him with CGI.
When Fast & Furious 7 hits theaters in 10 months, it will mark the culmination of an incredibly challenging production process, following the tragic death of franchise star Paul Walker back in November. Shooting resumed in late March, but a new report from The Hollywood Reporter reveals star Vin Diesel is becoming increasingly difficult to work with on the set.

An unidentified insider reveals that some crew members have "fantasized" about replacing Vin Diesel by using the same software that the production is employing to replace Paul Walker's face with the body doubles standing in for him.

Here's what this insider from the set had to say about Vin Diesel's problems as the shoot continues on longer than the crew initially thought it would.

"Vin spent a whole day in his trailer one day. The next day, they waited four hours for him. He called a meeting [May 28] of studio execs to his trailer for two-and-a-half hours to say, 'What the f- am I doing here?'"

The day after that meeting, the production employed body doubles to stand in for Vin Diesel. Another unidentified source claims that the crew suffers from "low morale."

However, Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley dismissed the allegations with the following statement.

"This production is working through some challenges that are historically unprecedented. The crew and cast, led by Vin, have been nothing but terrific under these circumstances."

It isn't known how much shooting remains on Fast & Furious 7, which is scheduled for release on April 10, 2015.

Fast & Furious 7 comes to theaters April 10th, 2015 and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Kurt Russell, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black. The film is directed by James Wan.

Um maybe he just lost one of his great friends and had to work like a month later without him on a movie that is always with the two of them... Guy is grieving man

What even made them think they should continue the movie, and so soon after Walker's death? I get the show must go on, but did they even have a grieving period, and if so, did they consider that being on set would be a constant reminder?

Hollywood sad, no sympathy at all, tbh a 10 year old can see the issue here,
like if he has recently become hard to work with it must be the conflict of Paul's death, he has been working with that man for YEARS and i think it would hit him hard to actually see him die on set in front of his eyes, its tragic and terrible.

I don't think its his ego, Paul's death might have hit home on him and the cast. It's hard to cope after a death, even if it is a close friend.
