Vera Farmiga will star in the adaptation of A View From the Bridge
Anthony LaPaglia is also producing this adaptation of Arthur Miller's 1955 play and reprising his role of Eddie Carbone from the 1998 stage revival, which he won a Tony award for. The story centers on Carbone, a dockworker who is unhappily married to Beatrice (Vera Farmiga) while raising their niece Catherine (Mia Wasikowska). When Beatrice's cousins visit from Italy and become enamored with Catherine, Eddie becomes consumed with jealousy and rage. It isn't clear what roles Sam Neill and Sebastian Stan will play yet.
Robert Connolly (Balibo) will direct from an adapted script by Andrew Bovell (Edge of Darkness). Production will start in June, with shooting to take place in both Melbourne and New York City.
A View from the Bridge comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Anthony LaPaglia, Vera Farmiga, Mia Wasikowska, Sam Neill, Sebastian Stan. The film is directed by Robert Connolly.
