Vadim Perlman to Direct Poltergeist Remake?

It seems that a classic horror film's remake may have landed a director. According to Bloody-Disgusting, "The House of Sand and Fog" director Vadim Perlman is currently in negotiations to direct a remake of Poltergeist.

Of course, this hasn't been confirmed by the studio as of yet, although it was recently announced that Juliet Snowden and Stiles White will be writing the remake.

We'll have more on this new remake as soon as more information surfaces.

Poltergeist is in development . The film is directed by Vadim Perelman.

    I don't understand why people hate Halloween so badly. I could give a f*ck less about the originals. Just doesn't interest me. I liked the remake. I thought it was good. I was actually freaked out by Micheal, unlike the old films.

    I will not contribute to this film. Instead, I will watch my Blu-ray of the ORIGINAL film the night this trainwreck premieres. I can only tolerate so much. While I prefer the Amityville Horror, Hills Have Eyes, The Omen and Texas Chainsaw Massacre remakes, Zombie's remake of Halloween proved just how horribly wrong remakes can be. I see this film being torn apart by critics as "completely pointless" and comments of the like.

    The only thing the original needs are better actors and because of how good movie effects look nowadays, it will have a nice look to it. They should make it scary beyond reason. Not a popcorn movie like every other horror/scary movie. Make it actually...scary lol.

    Damn this blows! Another freakin remake Im really get sick of this sh*t. Hollywood is totally out of ideas.

    In a few years they will remake Iron Man and 300, The Departed, its never going to end.
