Uwe Boll's Auschwitz trailer arrives
Notorious and sometimes-hated cult director Uwe Boll, who has often been accused of using Nazi gold to fund his movies, has set out to make a brutally realistic depiction of Nazi death camps with his latest project Auschwitz. The drama will depict Nazi gas chambers with the same realistically violent approach that Mel Gibson utilized in bringing the crucifixion of Jesus to life in The Passion of the Christ. About the drama, Uwe Boll stated:

"It's in the tradition of my movies Stoic, Darfur, Rampage, 1968 Tunnel Rats, Heart of America...it shows Auschwitz as what it was: a meat plant for humans...a death factory."

The first teaser trailer for Uwe Boll's Auschwitz has come online, but be warned, it is very violent, graphic, and disturbing in its depiction of Nazi gas chambers and Nazi methods of torture:

I certainly don't think the guy is using Nazi gold to finance his films, that's just crazy talk. Not that I like him or anything but that comment just sounds ridiculous!

There are some people that aren't suppose to be in this business. Uwe is one of them, then again I did enjoy one of his films to a certain percent.

ok this scene here is a portrayal of what Boll does to movie viewers. This self proclaimed "Genius" is a joke. heres a petition for those who dont know about it to force him into retirement http://www.petitiononline.com/RRH53888/petition.html and if look on youtube you can see how crazy he is with his response to it

I'm not going to comment on the movie trailer shown above..instead, I was curious if anyone has thoughts on Boll's movie "Stoic" ? I have always seen more mixed reactions with that one than I think any of his other films. Just wondering what others think...

I have no interest in this film. As @Ka-Pow! said, Boll has clearly made this movie using shock tactics a la Hostel and Saw. His intention wasn't for this film to be of any historic significance, and, in my opinion, such a tragic event shouldn't be exploited in such a manner.

'The Serbian Film' was one thing, this is another.

    Pass.

i was genuinely worried that the majority of posts would be like "oh wow, a holocaust movie, how artsy..." thank god ppl can see through that. this is the first time i've seen anyone make a holocaust movie as a way of exploiting the event rather then making a statement. i mean this is just sh*t, it looks like he is tryin to mimic Hostel or Saw while also making a historical movie. just bad.
