Untitled Phil Spector Biopic Photo Reveals Al Pacino as Phil Spector

There is quite a bit of controversy surrounding HBO's original movie, the Untitled Phil Spector Biopic. Apparently, the family of Lana Clarkson, whom legendary music producer Phil Spector is serving a life sentence in prison for killing, is not at all happy about the way the murdered actress is being portrayed on screen. Al Pacino is headlining this provocative biopic, while Helen Mirren is portraying Phil Spector's friend and lawyer Linda Kenney Baden. You can check out both Al Pacino and Helen Mirren in their character make-up below.

Untitled Phil Spector Biopic does not have a set debut date at this time, but it will air on HBO sometime in 2012.

I loved Al Pacino in Scarface as Tony Montana. Now he gets his shot at playing a historical character. If Al pulls off this role, he will surely get another Emmy, or perhaps a Golden Globe award.

This is going to rock! Mamet/Pacino/Spector + Helen Mirren. Wow! Did you know that the so-called Friends of Lana Clarkson didn't even read the script & yet they are threatening the actors in the film saying they will use their lobbying power to keep Emmy awards away from them for life unless they abandon the film? Isn't that crazy??

I would've preferred Gary Oldman...so who is playing the part of Phil as a young producer? Don't tell me Al is attempting a 30 year old?

Hey Al this would make how many HBO movies for you now? I guess you've lost the midis touch with A List Directors/Producers.

This looks interesting. Clarkson's family will probably have a huge gripe, though, as this looks like it will exaggerate many of the real life events in the film.

Would it be posb for al to remake his classic scarface? w/out killing him off. or add 1 of those diff endings when it comes out on dvd/blu ray?
I know that movie is gold and should b left alone but, imagin wat it could b like if done again using the same guy. it would b like an old rambo movie vs the new rambo movie,
