David R. Ellis wants his Untitled 3D Shark Thriller to stay untitled
The thriller will be known as Shark Knight 3D when it is released internationally, although that title never sat well with the studio or director. Here's what David R. Ellis recently said about the title.
"I hated the original title [Shark Knight 3D], too, so at our weekly production meetings, I made everyone on the crew come up with names - Chums, Fins, Terror on the Lake - but they all seemed kind of cheesy. And so until I hear a better name, I like what we've got right now: Untitled 3D Shark Thriller. The title says everything you need to know: 'We've got sharks.' 'It's in 3D.' and, 'It's a thriller.'"
Relativity Media did not comment about the naming process. Untitled 3D Shark Thriller centers on a group of college friends who spend a weekend at a lake house, only to discover the lake is infested with sharks.
Shark Night 3D was released September 2nd, 2011 and stars Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan, Chris Carmack, Katharine McPhee, Chris Zylka, Alyssa Diaz, Joel Moore, Sinqua Walls. The film is directed by David R. Ellis.

Edit: "...spend a weekend at a lake house, only to discover the lake is infested with sharks." Sharks don't live in lakes, with the exception of the bull shark which seldom live in lakes, let alone infest. Also the picture shown in this article is a great white, so that shark can't be used in the film. The most plausible is the Bull shark, but even that combined with the setting, is over blowing the fictitious reality beyond the accepted quantum. And they want to make this a thriller? The people making this film don't know what a thriller is. At least with Jaws (even with it's flaws) it was original and had a thriller type atmsohseper and feel too it, executed with quality actors.
With this i can visualize teens sitting around swimming listening to lady gaga, getting drunk, making out, and then end up screaming and yelling the whole film getting eaten or bitten etc.. and then the sharks would have to some how destroy their ability to escape, other wise why can't they leave? Is the house sinking or what? Is the water level rising?
It really has that Parana 3D feel to it.

and my reply to this is simple, STAY THE F*CK OUT OF THE WATER IF THEIR COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOULDN'T THEY BE AT THE BEAR MINIMUM A LITTLE SMART, MORONS, THEY GO IN THEY DESERVE TO BE EATEN, HERE IS A THOUGHT IF IT APPROACHES YOU BIFF IT IN THE NOSE LIKE A DOG THAT WILL SCARE IT AWAY LOL

Goodness me. A magnificent creature that has existed on Earth for over 400 million years, and they want to produce another repetitive, overblown film genre, that downgrades their level of intelligence, and propagates them to be some blood thirsty savages. Pathetic.
Hey Mr Ellis, have some damn respect. For your desire to direct such a film, has confirm to me that your level of intelligence has dropped well below the sharks.
