
Johnny English 2 gets the green light
Although the film made less than $28 million domestically, the Rowan Atkinson film took in $161 million worldwide. Atkinson will reprise his role as the title character and the film was said to be in the same vein as the original, in terms of story and budget ($40 million).
Hamish McColl wrote the screenplay for the sequel, and he also wrote the 2007 film Mr. Bean's Holiday, which also starred Atkinson. St. Trinian's director Oliver Parker has been attached to direct the sequel and it was said that the film is preparing to start production in August.
Johnny English was released July 18th, 2003 and stars Rowan Atkinson, Tasha de Vasconcelos, Ben Miller, Greg Wise, Douglas McFerran, Steve Nicolson, Terence Harvey, Kevin McNally. The film is directed by Peter Howitt.

Seriously? This movie was friggin LAME. I gave it 2.5 stars back in 2003, and looking back now I'm surprised I gave it that much.
