Movie PictureSome companies are gearing up to make this a very bloody holiday season.

In a story from Fangoria, Lionsgate is planning to bow The Descent on "unrated widescreen & fullscreen, R-rated fullscreen special editions and Blu-ray" on December 26.

Universal has picked November 28 to bring out the HD-DVD version of An American Werewolf in London. Maverick Platinum will be serving up Recon 2020: The Caprini Massacre on December 5, and Koch will be also be releasing Shades of Darkness on that same day as well.

Lastly, Black Christmas will be hitting stores from Somerville House on December 5. And Genius Products will be unveiling Living Death on December 12.
