Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment are teaming up to turn Guy Lawson's upcoming GQ article into a feature film entitled The Knife. According to Variety, the film will focus on an unlikely bond between men on either side of the law.

The title refers to a code name given to a Crips member in South Central. He became an informant and collaborated with FBI agent Tim Flaherty to crack murder, drug and arms-deal cases. This went on for ten years. Brain Grazer is producing the project.

The film does not have a set start date at this time.
