Universal on Board for Matt Damon's The Adjustment Bureau

It was reported last week that a Matt Damon project was being shopped around and it seems that it has found a home. According to Variety, Universal Pictures is finalizing a deal with Media Rights Capital for the Matt Damon vehicle, The Adjustment Bureau.

George Nolfi (The Bourne Ultimatum) wrote the script and will make his directorial debut on the film, which will center on Damon's character Congressman David Norris, who meets a ballet dancer named Elise Sellas and discovers that there are forces at work that are trying to keep them apart, and he starts digging deeper to find out why.

Production is set to begin in September, with the action set in Manhattan. Nolfi and Damon are also working on a fourth Jason Bourne film as well.

I guess if The Bourne Legacy does well they can move on to The Bourne Betrayal and The Bourne Sanction. The next book, The Bourne Deception is not to be released until mid-2009.
