According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures has snapped up Desperados. The script was written by Ellen Rapoport and Isla Fisher (Confessions of a Shopaholic) might star in the film.

Mark Gordon 2012 and Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) will be producing the project.

Desperados shows what happens when a woman sends an indignant e-mail to her new man; he's gone silent once they have sex. She then finds out that he's lying comatose in a Mexican hospital, and she heads south of the border with some friends to stop him from reading the e-mail before he wakes up.
