Scarlett Johansson may play Elena in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
"I love Amy. I also love Scarlett Johansson; there's a lot of great actors I think might suit. Hopefully, we'll see how it works out with everybody who are being scoped to do that role..."
David O. Russell also discussed developing the Elena character for this big-screen adaptation:
"Ah, Elena. I've cultivated her quite a bit and I think I've added a lot of dimension to her so that's all I'm going to say. I love the woman characters and the more robust they are, the more robust the movie."
Last month it was supposedly confirmed that Mark Wahlberg landed the lead role in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, along with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. From David O. Russell's comments below, it doesn't seem that any of those deals are official yet:
"The game is very cinematic; there's no question about it. That's what I'm working on real hard and I'm writing it as we speak and I'm really excited to make it. I'd love Mark to be in it, I'd love Robert De Niro to be in it; I love the idea of growing them into a cinematic family; I think that's a really cool idea, but... I guess you'll have to wait until you see the script."
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci. The film is directed by David O. Russell.

As I agree, the voice actors all should be on the casting list for this film. Not to mention Nathon Fillion, from Firefly, if thats how his last name is spelled, should be in the casting conciderations also. This film should have a script, then hear the fans out, when it comes to story and casting. Before they make another BAD video game movie. But I have no problem with Wahlberg and Jahansson. What I HATE is the changing for the entire video game "story", in the way to make it a familey thing. Love De Niro. But no dad role. I want to see it be more like the games in the way of the main cast on the "good guys" side so to speak.
