The story centers on four very different single mothers, who are forced to come together after an incident at their children's school. They create a support group where they discuss the obstacles of motherhood, and try to overcome their own challenges. Tyler Perry will direct from his own screenplay, and he will also star in an unspecified role. Tyler Perry is also producing with Ozzie Areu and Matt Moore.
Production is scheduled to begin at the end of November in Atlanta. We reported last month that Lionsgate will distribute.
The Single Moms Club was released March 14th, 2014 and stars Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao, Cocoa Brown, Ryan Eggold, Tyler Perry, William Levy. The film is directed by Tyler Perry.
