Amy Smart joins Tyler Perry's Single Mom's Club
We reported last week that Nia Long joined the cast, portraying one of four single mothers who form a support group after an incident at their childrens' school. Wendi McLendon-Covey and Zulay Henao play two of the other moms, although it isn't clear if Amy Smart or Cocoa Brown will play the fourth mother. William Levy and writer-director Tyler Perry also star.
Production began today at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. Ozzie Areu and Matt Moore are producing alongside Tyler Perry, with Lionsgate set to distribute.
Single Mom's Club comes to theaters May 9th, 2014 and stars Tyler Perry, William Levy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Zulay Henao, Nia Long, Amy Smart, Terry Crews, Cocoa Brown. The film is directed by Tyler Perry.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Is what an intent or oversight? Him "trying to reach as many people as he can"? Probably intention. His movies don't do well at the box office, so he's got to bring in a white audience now :P

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Well, I said it as more of a joke than an actual statement that I believe in. White people and black people can star in any movie they want; Tyler Perry chooses to focus on the black community (obviously) thus I made a (poor) "racist-ish" joke.
