Two The Wicker Tree Clips

Anchor Bay Films has released two clips from The Wicker Tree, director Robin Hardy's follow-up to The Wicker Man, which hits theaters January 27. Click on the video players below to watch these scenes featuring Graham McTavish and Brittania Nicol.



When two young missionaries (Brittania Nicol, Henry Garrett) head to Scotland, they are initially charmed by their engaging baron Sir Lachlan Morrison (Graham McTavish) and agree to become the local Queen of the May and Laddie for the annual Tressock town festival. But the couple is not prepared for the frightening consequences of their decision and the very disturbing secrets they are about to discover about Tressock's seemingly friendly townspeople.

Written and directed by Robin Hardy as a companion piece to his 1973 classic cult thriller The Wicker Man, The Wicker Tree also features Jacqueline Leonard, Honeysuckle Weeks, and Clive Russell, with Christopher Lee, the star of Hardy's original film. The film is also produced by Peter Snell, who returns as producer from the original, along with Peter Watson-Wood and Alastair Gourlay.

The Wicker Tree was released January 27th, 2012 and stars Christopher Lee, Graham McTavish, Clive Russell, Honeysuckle Weeks, Callum Mitchell, Henry Garrett, Jacqueline Leonard, Natalie Parnes. The film is directed by Robin Hardy.

    @k-man alright, alright, calm down. Just saying that there may be some misbegotten people that could perceive this as a sequel to Cage's flick. I don't actually care; never seen either film, don't intend to see this one.

    @ejk1 - This is NOT a sequel to that film, in any way, shape or form. Christopher Lee made that VERY clear in his "year end" sign off video for his fans in December.
