An adaptation of Brian Burrough's book "Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43," the film centers on the government's attempt to stop John Dillinger and his gang. Depp is playing Dillinger to Bale's famed FBI agent Melvin Purvis.
Wenham is playing Pete Pierpont, a member of Dillinger's crew who has a violent hostility to all authority. British actor Graham will portray Baby Face Nelson.
Public Enemies was released July 1st, 2009 and stars James Russo, David Wenham, Christian Stolte, Jason Clarke, Johnny Depp, John Judd, Stephen Dorff, Michael Vieau. The film is directed by Michael Mann.

this movie is going to be awesome,depp and bale are the best.
This summer Bale was in Dark Knight,and next summer John Connor and FBI agent Melvin Purvis. I think that proves how great actor is Bale.

VIS, haven't you ever seen any of Depp's movies like "The Ninth Gate," or "From Hell," where he plays a NORMAL character? Even in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" he's a normal character.
Anyway, you're right VIS. I've no clue what to think. However, I'm sure that Depp'll salvage the movie for me. Can't wait to hear more about this one!!!!!

What is Vamp gonna think of this. On one hand-Depp...on the other-Bale lmao I like Bale more than Depp, but this doesn't seem like Depp's usual "wacky, white, character" so if he manages to make something out of this, I just might be able to trust him as Tonto...guess we'll see
