Two More Sign Up for Boldly Going Nowhere
The series comes from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creators Rob McElhenny, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. The trio had recently cast another unknown, Ben Koldyke as the lead. The series revolves around the day-to-day affairs of a spaceship helmed by Koldyke's Captain Ron Teague.
Parham was cast after Tony Hale, another new cast member, had suggested the Upright Citizen's Brigade performer. Parham will play the female lead, the ship's stringent pilot.
"She was a diamond in the rough," McElhenney said. "Really, unbelievably funny."
Coleman comes aboard from The Wire, which seems unlikelly since, "you wouldn't normally say it in the same sentence with a broadcast comedy, but we've been going for fresh faces and strong actors," McElhenney said. Coleman will portray Cobalt, the ship's cocky head of security.
No production schedule was released for the film.
