Two Heroes Writers Get the Axe

NBC has given the axe to Heroes co-exec producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb, according to Variety.

Both writer-producers had been with the show since its first season and were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/exec producer Tim Kring.

Heroes, produced by Universal Media Studios, has struggled in the ratings its third season. It's understood that Alexander and Loeb were let go because of Peacock execs' frustration with the creative direction of the show. The show is also said to have been grappling with hefty budget overruns this season, that are going well beyond its already sizable $4 million per-segment pricetag.

season three has been the best so far IDK what else NBC could do to improve the ratings but I'm sure canning 2 producers is not the answer. I realkly enjoy the show except tonight because it's not on ...Stupid american election bullsh*t.

i agree this season is decent.
the first season i just wasnt interested, and that final episode was made on a dairy farm (it was so incredibly cheesy) but since then its been slowly getting better, to the point now where i make sure to catch every episode.

...well, granted, it airs in the timeslot following terminator (albeit on a different channel) which is my current favorite scifi show, so that helps.

i think its an amazing season....i think the only reason its not doing so well is that you cant possibly just pick up anywhere in the season. and if you miss an episode your f*cked.
