"We talked about maybe some day doing a movie to sort of end it all, and that seems like the best idea," Parker said. "That's been a big thought to do the last show as a movie."
Parker and co-creator Matt Stone are signed on to produce episodes for Comedy Central through 2011, but it wasn't clear if they wouldn't renew that contract, or if a movie might be the last we see of Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny.
Parker also talked about a South Park movie idea they previously had, which turned into the wildly-successful three-episode run, The Imaginationland Trilogy, which won an Emmy for outstanding animated program of an hour or longer.
"We came up with this pretty good idea for a movie, and then of course what happened was we got in the middle of a South Park run, and were completely out of ideas," Parker recalls. "And we were like, well, we've got to use the movie idea. And that became Imaginationland."

its just too hard to enjoy any show like this once Family Guy kicked in. South Park is definitely in second behind it tho. I will go see this. Maybe they making a movie cuz they know the season has sucked so far and need a way to make up for it

Uh... Raoul Duke, Issac Hayes is dead. And yeah, I would LOVE to see another movie, but so far, Season 12 is not the best season. It is mediocre at best, sans a few episodes. I have been watching this show since it aired when I was in the sixth grade and Season 12 you can tell they are barely trying.

Yeah dude, an amazing show. It's crazy, after 11 years, the newest episode "The Ungroundables" is easily one of my favorites. That's some f*cking staying power.
As for a Team America sequel I sure hope it gets done. C*ckroach Jong-il needs his revenge. I know they were developing something called "Giant Monsters Attack Japan", but now I cant find any info on it.

It makes me cold inside just thinking about SP ending. People don't realize the impact it's had on the entertainment industry. People who say it's just crude humor need to watch it more closely, because it's one of the most intelligent shows brought to the small screen. They make a point with nearly every episode, especially in newer seasons where they started attacking hollywood and politics.
I movie is the best way to end South Park. As long on we're on the subject of Matt and Trey making movies, how about their sequel to Team America?

It'll be a sad day indeed when there's no more new South Park episodes to look forward to. One last hurrah would be the best way to go out. I've been watching this show since it began. It's hard to think it's coming close to its end. Regardless of what people think, it's one of the smartest shows on television and I will be truly bummed when it's off the air for good. Maybe Isaac Hayes will stop being such a hypocrite and come back for the finale...one can only hope.

I'd loveto see a second film cause at the moment season 12 is is one of the best south park seasons in years so another film would be "Kick ASS!"
