Trent Reznor's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Score Revealed

Sony has revealed two music clips of Trent Reznor's score for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, directed by David Fincher.

Listen to the clips below!

Both tracks have signature Trent Reznor tones and proves that the musician has the ability to interpret script into music. Previously winning a Oscar for The Social Network, Trent Reznor brings an eerie backdrop to the films already risky subject matter. This will be the second film collaboration between Trent Reznor and director David Fincher.

The score will include a creepy instrumental as well as a rendition of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. Both are expected to make major contributions to the feel of the movie.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was released December 21st, 2011 and stars Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Robin Wright, Stellan SkarsgÄrd, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Yorick van Wageningen, Steven Berkoff. The film is directed by David Fincher.

I'm not the biggest fan of Raznor outside of the theater. His music is too subtle to just pick up and listen to. But he always captures the mood of a film well and it adds to each movie perfectly.

@insertusernamehere -- Pretty catchy the first few times I heard it. Other Score was ok.

I'll wait to hear this during the film, but I expect greatness from Reznor.

I love the Hellraiser sounds tracks...good stuff. Oh, and thanks for reminding me about Hanna. I REALLY want to see it. I love hitman movies.

@messenger Yeah, maybe my problem with it was that it depended too much on the film, it didn't really do it for me as a "stade alone" soundtrack that I can listen to on its own.
Something similar happens to me with The Dark Knight soundtrack, it's amazing on the film itself but I can't really listen to it on its own.

BTW, one of the best OSTs I've heard this year if not THE best, was The Chemical Brother's Hanna Soundtrack!

I found the Tron soundtrack to be boring, flat and uninspired. I like Trent because he thinks of concepts and ideas on how to record the music that lends itself to the film.

I've always thought The Social Network's soundtrack was extremely overrated and I was really pissed when Daft Punk's Tron Legacy OST didn't even get nominated for best soundtrack. That was by far the best soundtrack last year IMO.

I must say though that these two track sound a lot better, specially "Immigrant", let's hope the whole score is as good.

You might not like TR or NIN but this man really knows what he is doing. Just to think of how much he's grown from his early work to this, is mind boggling.
