Transformers DVD Tops the Charts
In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Home Entertainment saw Transformers place No. 1 on both Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's rental chart.
As previously reported here the title sold 8.3 million units during its first week in stores.
Placing No. 2 in sales was Genius Products' Planet Terror. It came in at No. 5 in rentals.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Surf's Up continued to ride a strong wave placing No. 3 on both charts.
In rentals, Fox Home Entertainment's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer came in at the No. 2 position.
On the high-definition side of this equation the Transformers HD-DVD was the No. 1 seller for that format. For Blu-ray Disc, Buena Vista got a nice treat as the first two films in the Pirates of the Caribbean saga took the top two positions.

Fantastic Four 2 sucks. The stories are getting quite lame. Transformers on the other hand, knocks the living daylights out.(The story isn't much of a grabber though!)
