Transformers: Dark of the Moon Trailer Arrives This December

Transformers 3 teaser trailer coming in December
Michael Bay took to his personal blog today to reveal that a trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon will arrive in theaters on December 10th, attached to prints of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader, as well as advanced sneak previews of Tron: Legacy, which opens on December 17th.

The director also stated that rumors surrounding Transformers: Dark of the Moon's faulty 3D are completely false. The news quickly spread last week, which claimed that most of the footage Bay had completed using 3D cameras was unusable because of his frantic shooting style. Here is what Michael Bay had to say in regards to that false bit of information:

"Wow, I read these morons on the internet who think they are in the know. "We have problems with our 3D????" Really? Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3D. There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3D.

I will give full details of my process and why I liked 3D in the next week right before the Transformers announcement piece comes out on Tron: Legacy and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader.

And don't watch this movie in 2D, we made it for 3D.

Michael"

Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

  3. The Narrator: The Better Man

@ejk, @OTTLEY, @Dave, @Supes, might I suggest a equally revolutionary film? Just to throw it out there.

Return of the King. My all time favorite film, and not because of how big of a fan I am. I honestly loved the film. The score was fantastic, the effects revolutionary at the time. The scope of every battle was unflawed, while the pacing off the film didn't suffer from the long stretches of dialog. Ensemble acting: the best I've ever seen. Fiction/Fantasy is hard to pull off in terms of relating to the audience and selling the dramatic moments (making them care basically), and they all did it. Scenery was gorgeous when needed, and desolate in other areas, Mordor mostly. Props, art direction, etc - all amazing. Make-up was for the books, doing 200 extras in full gear in an amount of a few hours is phenomenal. The weakest link in the entire film was it's cinematography. And it was fantastic. I just wish Andrew would stop using those infernal revolving cut scenes, which were mostly seen in Fellowship of the ring. But even the cinematography in flat out spectacular most of the time. All thanks to one man: Peter Jackson. Not only did he make this possible, but he crafted a film adaption, that pleased fans just as much as it pleased new-comers, and there has not been such a successful and well received adaption YET.

So there, that was my favorite film of all time. :P

@babyH, and @Dave, thanks guys. We do the best we can, ya' know.

Wow, i never knew there were so many, i knew there were greatest villains and heroes, greatest films, actors, actresses.

It would make sense if it was every decade or so, big time gap for new films to rival the prior ones

@Ottley, the AFI has only made this twice, in 1998 and 2007 or 08. Other lists of theirs include greatest Comedy, Greatest Lines, and Heroes & Villains. I know Some Like It Hot won the Greatest Comedy, and Gregory Peck's portrayal of Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird was named the Greatest Hero, but I cannot recall the others.

Is the AFI's top 100 greatest film's list, updated annually? That i never knew if it is...

I wonder if the BFI have a composed list, might have to check into that lol, and maybe compose one ^_^

I know, I was discussing Leslie Nielson yesterday with a couple of friends, the great laughs watching Naked Gun and Airplane was on TV earlier on.

@babyH and Ottley, I think it always tops the list because of the revolutionary film making. The cinematography, and the way it used the flashback was very much an innovative idea. Where some movies used the technique before, I don't believe they went back and forth with flashbacks quite the way Kane did.

On another note, RIP Leslie Nielson. The world lost a great actor, especially for comedic purposes. Lt. Frank Drebin, of The Naked Gun series, is one of the funniest, if dim-witted, characters ever created. You will indeed be missed, sir.

I've never watched Citizen Kane, lol. I recently bought it though, but yeah according to evidence and the list created by the AFI, thats the top one.
But i completely agree about all the others that @BabyH called being better, except Gone With The Wind, haven't seen it, but its a christmas present this year, so :D

    @Dave
Cool, is there a place, where I can watch the doc, sounds interesting, like on youtube or something, unless its coming to a UK film Festival :)

@Dave: That actually sounds like a great premise. Best of luck.

@ejk1: Wow. Good stuff. I did not know that. Gotta say, though, all things considered, I hated citizen kane. I would put Casablanca, Gone w/Wind, The Wizard of Oz, 2001, The Godfather, and maybe even Double Indemnity all above Kane. Maybe I'm missing something. Rosebud....
