The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There's new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

I have heard Shockwave was going to be the Big Bad in this one - however that did confuse me since I thought Shockwave was the Decepticon in TF2 controlling the military satellite. Well, it's either him or Unicron. I would have went with Galvatron personally, but isn't he an updated Megatron? Maybe with Unicron in here we will still see that occur. I have a slight feeling that Starscream will betray Megatron and attempt to take over the army they have been "growing" on Jupiter's moon, however with the casting upsets I may wait to hear the final verdict on this movie before deciding to see it. If anything, it will be a DVD rental.

@Lane1: How is there something wrong with that logic? If I rated the first film much lower than everyone else, then a sequel that most fans didn't like is pretty likely to get an even worse rating from me. I hated the first one -- besides the fact that I think giant robots that turn into cars is a ridiculous concept to start with -- because it had a garbage, hole-filled plot and terrible robot characters. Every time Optimus Prime opened his mouth I wanted to punch his face, because the dialogue was so bad. And as for the action, I anticipated I could enjoy a Bay film at least in that respect, but it didn't even work in that film. The cuts were so fast you couldn't tell what was going on.
Needless to say, I did not have fun.

So, you agree with the majority of the world that the second was crap but you hated the first one as well? There is something wrong with your logic there. Honestly, and I'm sure most agree, the first was done pretty well. What ruined the second one (and I have heard this from everyone who hated it) was all the dick/fart jokes the 2 robots made that were both unfunny and got really old after like the first time they were made. Another issue which would probably be considered a BIG one was the story. It was very convoluted, strayed too far from the first, and seemed like a cheap yet intentional rip-off of The Matrix. About the only thing that worked? The action. But doesn't it always with Michael Bay films? After all, that is all he's good for. Ask anyone why they see his movies and its not always cuz they're good, but simply cuz they're usually just fun to watch.

It took 8 years just for him to make a sequel. You really think he'll take that long to make another one just to finish it as a trilogy? As long as it took for Bad Boys II to get made, I enjoyed the first one a LOT more than the second. Then again, I never saw the end because I stopped caring about halfway through. It was just way too different than the first one. And atleast the first was actually funny.

Anyone could rate it based on a regular trailer and its quality, but on the basis of it as a trailer for Transformers, it holds no bearing other than what is shown in the last 10 seconds. Which, just like the first 2 films, or more accurately the first trailers for both of them, is simply more of the same.

At the beginin of the clip where it shows the spaceship in space and near the moon, ...that looks so fake like cgi-fake then later where it shows the 2 guys hopin' around near the big gray thing.. that also looks like they r not even in space. because they r moving to fast yet looks CGI , Compared to the movie Apollo 13, which looks more real and beliveable. Still nothing bad tho.

most likely its Alpha Trion the mentor and father figure of Optimus Prime even when he was still known as Orion Pax back in Cybertron. Now what would have caused his ship to crashland on the moon hmmmm???? I wish they could show Vector Sigma unless it contradicts or is compared with the All Spark.

OK, after just watching this trailer for the first time, I decline to give it a rating. The reason for this is because, while it gives a tremendously interesting slant to an important historical moment, it says nothing of the plot that will occur in the movie. Until another trailer is available, there is no real way to predict how this film will be any better or worse than the previous installments.
