Transformers: Dark of the Moon Megatron Tanker Truck Photos
Over the course of the past few months, we have been inundated with numerous Transformers: Dark of the Moon set photos featuring the cast and crew, and a lot of the new vehicles that will appear in the movie. Some more images have popped up on-line today, and they offer yet another look at Megatron's new tanker truck form, as well as a NASCAR-themed wrecker. Apparently, three new wreckers will appear together in the upcoming sequel that resemble the vehicles of Juan Pablo Montoya, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Jimmie Johnson. Seen in the images below alongside Megatron is the blue NASCAR Chevrolet Impala, which is part of an elite Autobot commando unit. The other two wreckers are red and green:

Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

People are quick to bash on Bay... Oh yeah, maybe Bay watched Jackie Chan's Thunderbolt the day before... What's the matter with you people??? It's not like Iron Man 2 was the first movie ever to include a race car scene Jesus Christ!!
And people complaining why Megatron has to blend in our world instead of blowing the whole Planet just because he's a giant alien robot... IT'S CALLED STRATEGY! Megatron ain't invincible to our weaponry and he knows the Autobots are also somewhere watching them...

something just hit me and no not a truck...lolz but i just realized something here.. that blue car looks like a race car. which means we will get to see some kinda race maybe at the begaining of the film? i bet bay got this idea from iron man2 or final destination4? either way..the race is wat i was thinking. the car however has no windows so wat will happen if somebody sees it driving on its own?. hummm

they're not having him transform into the gun because 1) it's lame to beging with that he turns into a handgun and 2) they're going for realism, like how would a ten story robot possibly transform into something as small as a pistol? so they're giving each robots vehicle mode a vehicle thats in relative size to the robot. notice the small robots turn into small things (like the hacker radio in the 1st one, or wheelie in the 2nd) and big robots turn into big things.
and i dont particularly care what megatron turns into because, like i already said, him turning into a pistol that another decepticon (that already has its own weapons ) uses, is pretty lame. it worked in the 80's when we were all kids and it didn't matter. but now it's not realistic at all.

@highcal, thanks for that info. i didnt know he was a hand gun. lol. CGI today is sumwat easy to make anything if they put their minds into it. Bay can pull off sum real kool stunts, but cant find a way to make him a handgun, so hes a truck now. lol maybe that big thing in the back of the truck is sum kinda big gun. who knows? I would have loved to see a blimp bot. an eye in the sky zooming down at megan's bedroom. oops? i mean bumblebee.

@JasonKat... Megatron in the cartoon transformed into a friggin hand gun! I loved it..the guy is huge, the same size as the other decepticons, then transforms into a gun that jumps into the hand of Starscream or Soundwave... I don't think they could have pulled that off live-action wise..

@Skorpion i think the sequel is not going to be connected to rotf

Well we have to remember that in the last movie, The fallen revealed to everyone that they existed. In the original animated movie, Megatron was a gun and a cannon. My question is this, why did the allspark only create decepticons? Like the household appliances, the mountain dew machine and so on.

Honestly, I don't think the dicepticons give a sh*t if they blend in. Would you if you could rape the sh*t out of everything? Who knows, maybe in the script people know about the transformers.

wasnt Megatron in the last 2 films? & what was he on the cartoons,? i dont remember. Anyhow i guess hes a truck now. atleast its not an ice cream truck, lol

Yeah. So he is a truck. So what?! I think 2007 established that these movies WEREN'T meant to have carbon copies of the G1 characters we know so well. It's called creative license and movie makers are allowed that luxury.
I for one love it. The fact that he can now blend in better with society (instead of being an alien jet/tank) makes him a more frightening enemy! :)

Megatron a truck!!! This movie is going to blow how can Bay be allowed to do this!! I hope and pray that there is a cartoon movie coming out soon that will at least attempt to do justice to the transformers brand instead of the crap that Bay has produced...
