Jack Reynor signs on for a lead role in Transformers 4
"I just hired a great new actor for Transformers 4 to star against Mark Wahlberg. Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie What Richard Did. This kid is the real deal.
Transformers 4, is not a reboot. That word has been floating around on the net.
This movie takes place exactly 4 years after the war in Chicago. The story makes a very natural transition, and reason as to why we have a whole new cast. This Transformers will feel very different then the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy.

The young actor's role was not specifically revealed. We reported last month that Nicola Peltz is playing the daughter of Mark Wahlberg's character, while Brenton Thwaites is playing her boyfriend. It still isn't known when production may begin on this highly-anticipated sequel.
Transformers 4 comes to theaters June 27th, 2014 and stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

Great another three movies, I love the first and third one, the second one had its moments, but not better than the third one. I cant believe so many people hate the franchise. I am curious on what they think will be a good Transformer movie.

thats exactly the problem, they focus too much on the humans but sadly in major blockbuster movies its something you have to do for the audience so that they can connect to someone.
Don't know what the bay-haters here want, just let him finish it and then we will see... I am happy that I will get another Transformers movie and the 1st and the 3rd were really great. Don't understand the constant nagging and hating towards Bay but as a director you can never make 100% of the audience happy. The box office shows that the people still loved all 3 of the first movies and thats what counts for the studios.

A good reason to have a new cast? What? Did the Original Cast died at the end of Dark of the Moon? Casting unknown actors for the lead in T4, for a new and different trilogy? Will this new trilogy have a lighter tone or a more serious tone, with Bay i doubt it!
