Transformers 4 and 5 Could Shoot Back-to-Back with Jason Statham Starring

Transformers 4 and Transformers 5 may shoot back-to-back
Earlier today, we reported Hasbro is in early discussions with executive producer Steven Spielberg and director Michael Bay for Transfomers 4. A new report indicates Paramount and Hasbro may try to shoot both Transfomers 4 and Transformers 5 back-to-back.

Screenwriter Ehren Kruger, who wrote both Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon, is said to have an idea for both sequels, which Paramount Pictures is keen on. The development process is still very early though, and they are still hashing out ideas. It is said that rising costs for big-budget movies like this, and Hasbro's need for an increased licensing window, are a few reasons why they might go back-to-back.

One certainty for these sequels is Shia LaBeouf will definitely not return as Sam Witwicky. Insiders close to the production indicate Jason Statham's name has come up numerous times as a possible replacement for Shia LaBeouf. A formal offer hasn't been made to Jason Statham yet.

Michael Bay has previously stated that he will not return to direct Transfomers 4, although it looks like he may come back after all. Sources claim the director may be able to squeeze in his bodybuilding movie Pain and Gain before Transfomers 4. Paramount is eyeing a late 2012 or early 2013 start for Transfomers 4, so Michael Bay may be able to make Pain and Gain between then and now.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon raked in a whopping $1.19 billion at the worldwide box office, so it's only a matter of time before Transfomers 4 gets started.

Transfomers 4 is in development .

what i would like to see is another director- like Shanw levy or co go up against this and direct another trilogy, different style over more but still pitted in the same timeline as the previous, and Bay producing and Michael Cera as the young chap- that pops into mind old Cera as he was previously signed on play the supporting role in trans 2- but other than that Shawn Levy is no go as hes done Real Steel its too rpeductable but possibly another director or a visual effects corespondent aiming to make it big, or spielberg himself...or ME

also this Stathem sh*t- c*m on- its a bullsh*t one note thing- his bird was in the last one, go figures oh lets presume he's going to make it big in Hollywood again with this because she was attached and bladder bladder- its all bull

Here is what I think we need. Reboot it, No Bay, he sucks at directing IMO, get an actual sci-fi director like Abrams who is also a fan. Set it on Cybertron leading up to them having to escape to Earth. Also I want new writers, no comedy please just a well written badass Transformers movie.

Jason Statham in a Transformers movie? I dont know about that..might be too much like a Transporter film but with giant robots :/ I'm on the fence for this, i want another TF film, but i dont want Statham in it..he just doesnt seem to fit in...

@jasonkat Peter Jackson didn't direct District 9, he presented it. Niel Blomkamp directed it (who I've said would be great for directing this, but he's got better stuff coming up).

Anyway, like I always say, Michael Bay's movies are like porn: sometimes I like watching em cause they go straight to the point, but sometimes I wanna watch "The Notebook" and see some romance and character development.

Yeah, somehow I see this scene where Statham uses his street-fighting techniques to try and kick Starscream's ass. I'm rather nauseous at the prospect.

The reboot needs to be darker but again hasbro would insist that it be PG13 in order to push the toys. As for Bay I hope he passes the torch to someone who will bring it back to its original routes in a sense

@bawnian-dexeus -- What the film is all about: action. This article explains perfectly how bad the Transformers movie-franchise actually is. It's empty, and is only there to entertain-which in my opinion, it fails to do.
