    How about:

The CUBE! We don't know what the cube is, or anything about it, but it's really important and it created us.

That's lazy writing if I've ever seen any, and that's the opening shot of the first movie. This franchise sucks bags.

@CBF, good point. Bay said that there are going to be a lot of twist in TF3. Maybe Starscream betraying Megatron is one, who knows. Yes, no more crazy humor. I want the Decepticons to be BAD-ASS in TF3, even if they lose at the end. That was one of my complaints in TF2, they got kill really quick. I would also love to see more fights like the forrest battle, that scene was epic.

    @ParkWilliams and @TheFallen ~ good points, guys.

Fallen, I feel the same way. Your idea would be awesome. I definitely think Starscream should betray Megatron in the third act, part 3. I'm thinking TF3 will be the last one, so yeah, it should happen. Now Megatron is the Leader again, due to no Fallen Prime, and that story would make total sense. I agree with the tone of the humor as well. My suggestion? Please...no more stereotypical Black robots.

Park, I'd definitely be willing to hear more of what didn't make sense to you. Some things you have brought up I can explain in my own head but others I can't. Your rationale for not liking the movie makes total sense, whereas some other TF fans didn't like it because they couldn't follow the story well enough after one viewing to give it a chance. You've analyzed the film well and bring up valid questions. I'd like to hear more of what you thought. Have you written a review?

@The Fallen: I agree there is room for redemption, but there's a lot of work that needs to go into the next film to achieve that.

@CBF, good point. I personally want to see Starscream kick Megatron in the teeth, and then bite it in the end due to Galvatron. I just hope the second one has the same runtime, but uses it for fast paced and passionate character development; instead of raw action, and I pray Spielberg takes away the all the crude sexual references and innuendos unless comic relief is really needed; then we wouldn't want it to feel strained.

@Diaigma, your a friend and I know you were joking, due to being used to your rather fun and witty comments at times. Sorry for all the language as well friend.

@ParkWilliams, I knew there we're flaws. There is no need to point any out, because my opinion of T2 is already low enough. However, It is still redeemable, and I actually look forward to the second one. Spielberg still has a few tricks up his sleeve. after all he directed 10 of top 100 films by critics.

So please, forgive me if my comment was rash and maybe didn't pertain to you.

@CBF: What I meant was that the Fallen was never seen or mentioned in the first movie. Normally, in a well planned series, future characters are mentioned or briefly seen in one film before being put in the spotlight in a sequel. It's like Bay and Spielberg sat down after the first came out and thought it went so well they'd randomly pull up something for a sequel.

I have no problem with there being more transformers, I have a problem with how many more. Starscream leaves and comes back with surviving scattered Decepicons to reclaim Megatron's body, all well and good, but then there are more and more decepticons featured throughout the film when there was special attention drawn to the fact that without a new energon source the new robots being engineered would die. It's beyond suspension of disbelief.

And like I said, there are more than that, such as:

Why is Bumblee still apparently mute when his voice box was repaired at the end of the first one?

Why are the robots who join together to become Devastator also seen fighting the Army at the same time?

    I've still got more.

@ParkWilliams: To Answer a few of those begging Questions,

"the never before seen or mentioned Fallen"

Actually, he was mentioned in the beginning, that he was one of the first Prime brothers. He betrayed the others, and became the first Decepticon. Others who followed him became Decepticons. So he was like the Lucifer to the Prime family. The fallen brother. Not sure why you point out he was never before seen or mentioned, when actually he was.

Also you mention something about how can there be more robots. If you remember from the end of TF1, Optimus said that there were others out there. Starscream escaped into space. In which we learn in TF2 that he went to Jupiter's moon, Megatron's base in our solar system. Starscream was engineering more robots while Megatron was dead at the bottom of the ocean, and while those may not be used until TF3, also Starscream and Fallen were gathering other Decpticons for their attack.

How can machines emulate a human? Simple. Nanobots.

It's not that hard to understand. I mean, you bring up a good point about the battle in the city from the end of TF1 that they supposedly "covered up," but the plot was definitely NOT pulled out of thin air. It only took me a second viewing to understand it completely, I don't see why so many people are having trouble understanding the story. The Fallen is completely right.

The first movie was so bad I didn't even watch the second one. Mind you, I think the concept of Transformers is fatally lame to begin with.

  13. ParkWilliams

@TheFallen: It was only a joke dude. I agree the first was entertaining and had a story that was at least interesting, the problem with the second was that 90% of the story was manufactured out of thin air. Their were characters and events that just pop out of nowhere without explanation.

First off, how does a transformer emulate a human when a human is not a mechanical device? How do the Decepticons have such an impressive invading force that just seems to keep coming when the never before seen or mentioned Fallen claims that they can't birth any new transformers without the energon source? How is the mass battle in the middle of the city covered up when it was witnessed by thousands of people and the attack by aliens was announced on television? Why does Sam need the Matrix to bring back Optimus Prime when Mikaela has been carrying an allspark shard around the entire movie?

This is a very small sample of the things wrong with the plot of Revenge of the Fallen, there are more where those came from.

@TheFallen Man, you are absolutely correct.

RE: TF3, Starscream and Megatron fled at then end of the last one, which means they will be concocting a new plan, which has to do with those "soldiers" that Starscream was genetically growing on Jupiter's moon before Megatron was resurrected. I have a feeling they showed that in TF2 for a payoff in TF3. My hope is that Megatron turns into Galvatron in TF3.

what's with the bashing on Transformers's plots?
1st: Autobots comes to Earth to find the Allspark before the Decepticons.
2nd: With the Allspark gone, the Decepticons want to blow up our sun. The Autobots must find the Matrix, that key which activates the sun destroyer before the Fallen does.

    I don't see any problems :S

  23. The Narrator: The Better Man

It amazes me how much brainless imbeciles are on this f*cking site. When Transformers 2 was coming out you couldn't wait, and most of you had no problems whatsoever with the first's somewhat good plot, due to how far fetched the whole concept was anyway.

Now, just because the second literally sucked Devastator balls, you all talk like the film has no plot whatsoever and are giving Bay and Spielberg a hard time? Jeez.

The reason the second sucked was:

    1. Ehren Kruger wrote the bulk of the script instead of Robert Orci and Alex Whatshisface (who were both working on Star Trek). Therefore Krugers script was pure sh*t. The Writers Strike didn't help either folks.

    2. Bay then overcompensated for the poor script by adding a sh*t-load of explosions. Making the film seem even less deep and then the final fight of course totally made the film drag on.

    3. Spielberg wasn't checking up on this as much, and when he finally saw it all he said was "Awesome." I already knew this would be slightly disappointing due to the fact Spielberg praised the first film for its fun, witty, and action packed story and eye candy and now all he said was awesome.

    4. the early reviews really downgraded the film. It wasn't THAT bad, but it did suck compared to the first one. And all your hate for Michael Bay didn't really help the fact that going into the film you'd be un-happy. I mean what the f*ck did he do wrong? Make lots of money on cheesy action flicks? If you could, most of you would do the same thing.

Overall, a lot of you are f*cking two faced pricks that go with the common fanboy flow. Grow some f*cking brains so you guys can be open minded. Did the second suck? Yes it did. Does that make is irredeemable? No. Unless you want a reboot in 5 years like Spidey is now, after Spiderman 3. Funny because on those threads you guys say it was redeemable and a re-boot's not necessary , when actually when Spidey 3 came out, some of you guys couldn't stop bitching about how they need to stop and reboot in a few years.
