The victim was identified as Gabriella Cedillo, who was seriously hurt when an object came hurdling through the windshield of the car she was driving. Here's an excerpt from the site's article:
"Preliminary investigation revealed that shortly before 7 p.m, the movie crew was filming a stunt using numerous vehicles and drivers," authorities said in a statement. "During this stunt, an object struck a 2006 Toyota, hitting the vehicle, and then went through the windshield hitting the driver."

It was said that production was suspended after the accident and scenes that were to be filmed today in Chicago's Millenium Park have been canceled. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further information on the status of Gabriella Cedillo's injury and how it will affect Transformers 3's shooting schedule as soon the information is made available.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

I hope the woman is ok, and I really hope this bites Bay in the ass, for having to blow crap up all the time, and not focusing on more of a quality story. He ruined Transformers for me. It's not what it was. The eighties versions were far superior as in story and robots. Every Transformer in these movies haves to have a zillion, illogical, impossible moving parts.

Guys, these are stunt people we're talking about. They know full well what they are dealing with folks, it is after all their jobs. I too wish her a speedy recovery, but don't blame Bay for this accident. If anyone blame Kenny Bates. He's the stunt director or something. Truth is a lot of you just want an excuse to rag on Micheal. Well, you don't need one, so don't stoop to the level of false/blind accusation.

Armageddon was a blast for me! Bay's movies are just great popcorn flicks not something to bring home Oscars, unless there for great visuals, sound, effects, etc.! I thought the only good things in PH were Kate Beckinsale and the wild action sequences! That's what is great about movies, what one doesn't like someone else does!!

You know what will be good. Just a suggestion but The Mime thinks they should make her part in the movie worth while by giving her a few seconds on screen. Elaboration; she got badly or better yet "Seriously" injured while doing the movie (So says above), The Mime thinks it's only fair to put her on screen. One that really show's her getting injured. Though it might sound crazy but what about it uh?.... It's just a thought from The Mimes mind but what do you moviewebers think?.... Is The Mime right or left?

@Daveactor7...Moon was a trippy movie but i liked it, i knew somewhat bout star trek, but became a bigger fn when the film came out, district 9 was a awesome film, for it being considered a low budget film compared to most films out these day, was by far better then Tranformers 2 all around...
[ Learn Mr.Bay, a great story makes a movie, not depending on a 300 million dollar cgi budget that still came out horrible ]

@Savannah9312 i agree with everything but the armageddon thing. It was horrible, it was shot down by critics, it had no intriguing characters or nothing. All that was good were the visuals. Pearl Harbor was the longest pointless love story ever. At the last hour visual effects extravaganza. Worst war movie ever.

@Daveactor7 armageddon was good. not oscar worthy but good. I completely agree thats exactly what he was doing. pearl harbor was awful. Im not saying i wouldnt punch him in the face if i saw him but he puts out some very enjoyable movies. To be honest my biggest problem with this guy is not his directing, its the product placement!!! Every single movie he does, i feel like im watching logos for half the screen time. None of his movies are great, but most of his movies are good. I mean, the rock? other than nic cage, it was pretty enjoyable. But i agree if he ever wins an oscar, id be pissed.

Is it just me, or is this starting to happen more and more? Bay needs to cool off, he's been REALLY reckless with his film making throughout this trilogy, with nearly getting Shia LeBouf and others killed while filming.
